WHY ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE?

While each rug is one-of-a-kind and was handmade from centuries-old traditions many years ago, it is our belief (along with many others) that antique or vintage rugs offer an indescribable statement to any room.  There are no duplicates, there's only originals! 

WHAT ARE AGE LABELS?

Historians have the following classification for rug ages:

Classic Antique - any rug over 100+ years in age

Antique - any rug 75-100 years in age

Semi-Antique - any rug 50-74 years in age

Vintage - any rug 20-49 years in age

 

WHAT IS THE MATERIAL?

Each rug was woven with natural materials (wool, wool on cotton, and with all-natural vegetable dyes), are non-toxic, and extremely durable - for life and beyond. Our pillows are handcrafted, and revived from classic antique rugs, possessing one-of-a-kind unique qualities.  Each piece collected is sacred, rare, and distinctive. Nobody will own the same piece as you.

ARE THESE RUGS KID & PET FRIENDLY?

Yes!  These rugs were built to stand the test of time.  Not only are they a safe option for kids, pets, and more, they were made with the intent for everyday use, in the everyday home. Undoubtedly, meant to last. 

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY RUG OR PILLOW?

Our rugs and pillows have all been professionally cleaned, with environmentally friendly cleaning products.  

Rug cleaning: Vacuum on the lowest setting possible (preferably with beater bar off) or use a broom to sweep away debris.  Spot clean with mild detergent and water only, avoid rubbing and any use of a carpet cleaning machine.  If your rug needs a deeper cleaning, take it to a professional. Always roll rugs when storing away.

WHAT IS A LIMITED EDITION COLLECTION?

Our limited edition collection consists mostly of curated pieces for a season (i.e. Christmas).  Although, all of our items are limited edition, as each piece is one-of-a-kind, our limited edition section is offered for a limited time.  

 

HOW ARE YOUR PHOTOS TAKEN?

Each item shown on our website has been photographed in natural settings, without any enhancements, unless otherwise noted. Photos we share via social networks are from our website or iPhone (no flash or enhancements). Our items may vary slightly in color depending on the device being using and age, display settings, and in your space. Colors are listed for reference.  Any creases will disappear within a few days of the rug or pillow being unpackaged and laying out. These are not considered flaws, defects, or damage. We do our best to describe each item in its entirety. Upon request, we can provide additional photos, if needed.

 

HOW IS PRICING DETERMINED?

Our prices are a reflection of the condition of each item (origin, age, feel, size and colors).  However, if you see a rug we have available that you love, but is above your budget, feel free to reach out to us with a reasonable offer.  Price adjustments on items purchased before or after any promotions (i.e. sales) are not offered.

 

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

All major credit & debit cards, Apple Pay, Loomologie gift cards, PAYPAL and AFFIRM are accepted forms of payment.  Charges may appear as Loomologie LLC. On occasion, we may have an option for in-house financing. Once an order is placed, we are unable to cancel it.

 

CAN YOU HOLD AN ITEM?

We understand purchasing an antique or vintage rug for your home is a big decision and investment.  A 24-hour hold may be placed on an item for you to check measurements.  Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our items, and limited product inventory, we will release the hold of the item if it has not been purchased within the 24-hour hold period.​  We do not offer holds on our pillows or limited edition collections.

 

DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?

Yes!  See gift card options here.  Gift cards are delivered by email and are redeemable upon checkout, there is no additional processing fees, and they do not expire. Loomologie is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unapproved charges on your gift card. Gift cards are not eligible for cancelation, return, refund or exchange.

 

DO YOU HAVE A TRADE PROGRAM?

Absolutely, we do!  We enjoy working with those in the industry and we offer an exclusive trade program designed for designers, decorators, home stylists, home-stagers, realtors, photographers, and other related business types.  Our trade program comes with concierge services, exclusive assistance, along with complimentary product holds, sourcing, and other benefits.  Upon approval, you will be provided an email containing an exclusive code for your use. join here! A minimum order total is applicable for trade members to receive their exclusive discount on orders.  Please allow 1-3 business days to process your trade application. 

 

CAN YOU SOURCE A PRODUCT?

Absolutely!  We currently offer complimentary sourcing for antique and vintage rugs only. Through trusted relationships we've built, we can source thousands of rugs, both near and afar.  We are confident in finding you what's on your wishlist.  All we ask for is a little time and patience while on this quest for you.  Upon acceptance of the item(s) you select, payment is due within 24 hours (we will provide an invoice).  To be as thorough as possible, please provide us dimensions, colors, inspiration photos, and budget  - inquire here!  To ensure a smooth process, we will coordinate with you along the way.  

WHAT ABOUT REPAIRS?

All of our items have undergone a high-quality check, if any repairs were needed, they were performed by our skilled repairers.

Rugs: Slight variation in color, weave, wear, and size (up to 2"-3" in length and width) are all normal characteristics with antique and vintage rugs.  Irregularities of this nature are not considered flaws, defects, or damage.

Pillows: Slight variation in color, weave, wear, and size (up to 0.5"-1" in length and width) are all normal characteristics with antique and vintage pillows. Irregularities of this nature are not considered flaws, defects, or damage.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

All products of Loomologie are lovingly selected by hand, and one-of-a-kind in nature.  Each item is thoroughly inspected for its durability and quality. In the event you wish to make a return....

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in original packaging and in the same condition you received it.  To request a return, please email us within 24 hours from receipt of delivery to hello@loomologie.com to initiate a return request. Upon approval of the return request, a return authorization shipping label will be emailed to you.  Item must also be returned with receipt of proof of purchase and shipped no later than 24 hours from us providing the return authorization shipping label.

Due to the nature of our items, if you desire an exchange, we ask that you purchase what you'd like while it's available and then follow the return policy for the item you wish to return.  We do not offer an exclusive exchange only policy.  

Return Processing:

Upon receipt of returned item and inspection, we will issue within 7-14 business days a refund in the form of store credit only (less all shipping fees, and a 45% restocking fee deduction).  Items returned to us without a return request initiated within 24 hours & approved, the receipt of proof of purchase, unapproved return, damaged return, or without our return authorization shipping label are considered unauthorized returns and will not be accepted or processed as a return or provided refund.

I HAVE A VINTAGE RUG, WILL YOU BUY IT?

Unfortunately, we aren't able to buy your rug.  We suggest 1st Dibs for you to try to sell your rug.  Part of the reason is due to the cost involved for shipping, professional cleaning, authenticity of the rug, and other factors.

 

DO YOU HAVE PROMOTIONS?

Yes!  We offer select promotions (i.e. sales).  Exclusions may apply.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?

Our online shop is open 24/7, unless otherwise noted (i.e. maintenance).  Customer Service (social media messaging, email, etc.) is open 0700-1900 PST (excluding holidays), unless otherwise noted.
